5 and 27 month updates!

Ahh how my boys are growing! Zayn is now 5, nearly 5 1/2 months old and Kye is 27 months! It's hard to believe they were once tiny babies :(
Zayn has started teething this week, he wasn't too  bad the first few days but the last couple haven't been nice. I hate seeing him in pain and uncomfortable I just cuddle and comfort him hoping some mummy love and magic can make him feel a little better. He's got a rash under his chin as well from dribbling so much from teething which is only adding to his discomfort, I haven't tried any teething rings because they didn't help Kye at all all I have been doing to every now and then rubbing my finger over his gums to try and numb some of the pain and if he gets too bad i'll give him a soft hand towel or face washer to chew on. He's also nearly sitting up on his own! He can lift and hold his shoulders and chest off the ground when he's laying on his tummy now and if I sit him up he can stay there for about a second before falling over. Rolling over is another things he's starting to master. He can kind of kick himself over to get to his side, but not to his tummy and then he will get back over onto his back. He's exploring and learning so many new things, in 5 short months he's been able to figure out all of this! He LOVES to grab things, hair, necklaces, earrings when you're holding him and anything he finds on the ground, and what happens then is it goes straight to his month! Even though he's not mobile yet I have to keep the closest eye on him to make sure that nothing bad goes into his month! He smiles all the time, he's so lively and watches and tracks just about everything with his eyes. He's also more vocal now than just crying he's learning many new sounds and seems to always be 'talking' to everyone, he's still so friendly and carefree with everyone and hasn't started to show any signs of separation or stranger anxiety yet! I'm hoping to start solids at the end of the month! I know he's pretty much ready for them now but I want to hold out and breastfeed only for 6 months! I mean it's got everything he needs and he's not showing any signs of going hungry or needing more than what he's getting. Zayn is perfectly healthy, happy and developing at a pretty normal rate. I still can't believe he's 5 months, which is nearly half a year old!

Kye seems to be growing faster than Zayn! My baby is now so independent! I think I mentioned this last month but he loves to try and dress and undress himself and brush his teeth and hair all on his own, now he's even trying to dress Zayn and bath Zayn and help out in all ways possible. He's getting more into art and crafts now because he seems to have a lot great control over his fine motor skills which allows him to draw and paint and also because he's able to sit still and concentrate on a task for a longer period of time which is still only a few minute but it's longer than what he could a few months ago. He's tells outrageous stories about some of his paintings his does at daycare and he always has something to say and ask about everything! Why do we do this, whats that for, why does that happen are probably his most used ones. He's picking up new words everyday and his speech and getting a lot clearer and easier to understand. Toilet training still hasn't happened, I feel slack for not starting yet as i'm pretty sure he's ready but I've just been so busy and stressed I can't seem to find the time, I really do want to start in the next few weeks! Hes a really calm and gentle boy but he always has bounds of energy! Running and climbing both indoors and outdoors are all in a days work for Kye, he must be skilled at it though because he rarely ever falls or has cuts and bruises on his body! Life has thrown up so many changes for him in the past few months and he's handled them all so well, I don't know how I got so lucky to have such an amazing son!

That's about all I can think of for updates, I will do a post in the next few weeks about 2 major milestones toilet training Kye and starting solids with Zayn!
